What a fab idea. I do hope other councils through out the UK do the same.

I've added my support on behalf of the website and forum.

It's a great idea and we will definitely be visiting the area. Lets hope other councils follow suit.

Should this go ahead I hope it spreads all over the UK, why are we always last to do things in Europe, sounds to good to be true for the UK, lets hope they go ahead, fantastic way for councils to make a bit of "doshwonga" in empty car parks at night, has my

have already had my say here.

Also there are some car parks in the Brecon Beacons that allow overnighting in motorhomes.

Yes, Powys council are pretty good - places like Hay-on-Wye and Knighton have car parks with free overnight parking, for one night only. Might try Hay when the book festival is on - if I remember correctly you must still put a ticket on the van but it's free until 8am the following day.

                  Car parks

Is there a list or web site of councils who allow overnight stays at carpark ?

I do think it is a good idea to limit the stay to one night as otherwise some people do silly things and end up staying a fortnight and blocking spaces.. then locals get annoyed and height barriers go up!
