    Grrrrr!

This morning was springlike so we thought we would go for a picnic in the camper, it wouldn't start so we called the AA, the battery had reached the end of its tether so the patrolman fitted us a new one-I didn't realise they did that!
We went to one of our favourite spots-a clearing overlooking a lake in Cumbria, had a relaxing afternoon -birdwatching, reading and so on, when we turned the van around to go back to the road we saw a new pay and display bollard that we didn't see on the way past, this has been a free spot forever, they now want £6.50 to park there, someone had written their disaproval in permanent marker on it-and we second their sentiments!!

£6.50!!! You only wanted to park, not pay for fishing rights and overnight camping!!

You can park overnight for £22 but you are not allowed to sleep in your vehicle!!
We wonder if we are losing our power of reasoning!!

One of our local country parks has employed a shady company called Parking Eye to 'manage' its carparks.
Their M.O is to move parking charges signs so they can only be seen when leaving.
The make most of their revenue by fining parkers using their ANPR camera.
Now if they had used the camera money for better signs or facilities.. oh hang on...
