Motorhomes Over 3.5 Tonnes in France

Just rambling about the internet and found this topic. Apparently from 1st Jan 2021 when driving in France, all vehicles which exceed 3.5 Tonnes must display "Blind Spot Warning Notices" at the rear and side of the vehicle. This is regardless of the country of origin or registration and includes Motorhomes. There have been appeals to exclude leisure vehicles but at present these are included. As you say, the French motorhome association has appealed to have motorhomes excluded from the decree in France, on the grounds that they're people carriers not good vehicles but no decision yet https://ffcc.fr/actualite/signalisat...-de-35-tonnes/

Personally I don't see the problem?
