What really makes the site is the owners who couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome. At £11 a night it’s pretty cheap and I reckon the view alone is worth that. The facilities could be better but they are passable and I think the owners are feeding every penny they make back into the site to keep improving it. Worth noting that you can use the much nicer showers and loos over the road at the Cricket Club when its open and there is a cheap bar there as well.
In addition to the camping pitches they have 2 Bell Tents, a Yurt and a Shepherds hut glamping units for hire, all of which have their own facilities. We didn't look at them too closely as they were occupied but appeared nice from a distance.
The site is a member of the Freedom Camping Club network.
