There are 2 campsites at this location, the Caravan and Motorhome club site and the council run campsite. We stayed at the council run campsite for £20 per night with EHU in August.

The council run campsite was very busy but this is to be expected at this time of year as the children are off school. The facilities are cleaned regularly, are a bit basic but they are currently building a new block which would help reduce pressure. We had no problem having a shower at about 8.00 am each morning. The wardens were helpful and friendly and worked very hard.

The main drawback was there were no shops close by although there may have been a small shop at the Caravan and Motorhome club site. There are 2 cafes on site where you can buy refreshments and snacks. We took a trip out in the van to Llanelli where there was a big shopping centre with a Debenhams, M&S, Tesco’s etc which was about 5 or 6 miles from site.

The country park is large with a number of coloured post walks/cycling routes around the park and an extremely long, but windy beach only 10 minutes walk from the campsite. There are a number of activities including horse riding, pitch and putt, cycle hire and ski slope. There is a large children’s play area.

Overall a good site for families and people who like walking/cycling or taking the dog for a walk.
