    Nantcol Waterfalls Llanbedr

This is a site I have stayed at quite a few times.
It is located in a relatively sheltered valley a couple of miles inland from Llanbedr, which is between Barmouth and Harlech.

The site is located next to the river which is shallow and has picnic tables on the island.
The attraction to this site is the waterfalls which are accessed via marked paths from the site.

The facilities are modern and cleaned daily (outside contractors).
I have stayed here at different times of the year, from March through to September.
If you want a peaceful stay then I would suggest avoiding school hols.
when I stayed in March I had the site to myself.
I have stayed in July and the ground was waterlogged. They had a lot of rain.
Last time I stayed they had done some drainage work on the EHU pitches.

Because of the river it is very popular with families of young children.
90% of the pitches are flat, the exception being 2 or 3 spaces by the waterfall.
They have an abundance of EHU pitches.
Non EHU are un-marked so pitch where you like.
The riverside is popular but no EHU.
Reception in in the car park which is used by day trippers.
Reception sells ice creams and such in season and also sells logs. They will freeze ice packs for you.
Campfires must now be off the ground in fire bowls.

There is a local shop in Llanbedr, main shops in Barmouth or Porthmadog
Nearest beach is Llandanwg or Harlech. 10-15 mins away.
Current prices are £8 - £10 pppn depending on season. Electric 16amp is £4 pn
