    Raised tailgate support legs (Kangoo)?

    Hello,
i`ve done a couple of searches but can`t find what i`m looking for. Does such a thing as a support leg/legs for an open Kangoo tailgate exist? Is there some method of preventing the tailgate closing on you when it`s windy?

If there isn`t anything available i`ll make something as I don`t want it coming down on my breakfast.

    Hi, Mike
How about some split 1/2 bore HPE plumbing plastic pipe over the shaft of the gas shocks,
It could be split lengthways with a sharp knife and snapped over it, therby acting as a large distance piece,
You could also use a telescopic clothesline support fitted underneath the door and ground,
They can be had in most hardware shope for a fiver or so, I was looking a some today funnily enough
If mistakes are the foundation of understanding, i have firm foundation,Underpinned by much in the way of I don't want to do that again

I tried the gas pipe on the strut, but in my opinion there was the potential to cause damage to the door as the pipe (fitted to both struts) started to bend the door mountings under a `test` load

I think the suggestion of a clothes prop is excellent

      Thanks.

        The Big Wing

Such a large area exposed to the wind,
Tremendous forces will be built up and yes, things will start to bend somewhere,
        Like flying a big kite,
If it's quite windy, how about using the leeward side door to gain access to your kitchen, Or turn the car into the wind
