Did you have any particular season in mind?,while its true that old nature always plans two seasons ahead,if you mean winter then,Thankyou,I agree it has its own charm, but January and February can be daunting.
In the meantime I hope you enjoy the run up to the years end.
Also, keep an eye on the night sky,you can see more shooting stars now than at any other time and the winter constellations are fascinating and beautiful, with a lowpower pair of binoculars you can see such wonders.

Thank you, I too hope the Winter season brings its own usual beauty. I am particularly looking forward to some snow and heavy frost. It is nice to walk in the countryside when it is all white. Even if it is not snowy, the fields look so stunning shrouded in mist and that milky white light.
I am prepared this year, the bag of rock salt is in the shed and my YakTrax are clean and ready to wear!

Spills from the window
To fall upon
The peaceful, virgin snow
That dusts the holly hedge
And creates an untrod blanket
Upon the winter grass.
It sparkles in the night
Like laughter for my eyes,
And tempts me
To forego
The good sense of adulthood
In favor of childish glee.
What wonder is this
That I of an age
And certain respectability
Would feel the chortles
Of school let out
Just by gazing upon it?
Perhaps that
Is its intrinsic value,
To lead me astray
From everyday worries
And reunite me with
My carefree youth.
I wonder where my carefree youth went? probably sloped off to the chippy.
Thanks for reminding me Flo!
