    digital freeveiw televistion

Has anyone tried the dongle that allows a laptop to pick up digital freeveiw televistion channels.

I have used an AVerMedia cardbus that slots into a laptop, and I think they do it now as a dongle. It was very effective, provided you have a tall directional arial. I had it on a coachbuilt with a ladder on the back to attach the poles. With an inverter i was able to watch the Grand Prix from beside a lake one year. It would certainly outperform the 'flying saucer' arial I have at the moment but then the R40 came with flip down TV already fitted. And nowhere to fit a tall arial, so I feel a satellite 'dome' coming on.
