    First time camping in France

If anyone wants to try camping in France but is a bit nervous about it, do what we did in our first trip to France we went to this site.
    http://www.camping-bien-assise.fr/en.html

We ended up staying for a fortnight, we had a caravan then and didn't want to tow it far so this site (which is just outside Calais) was ideal and guess what van was in the next pitch. A Romahome C15, which was being occupied by two ladies who were delighted to tell us all about there van, it was then that we decided we had to have one and the rest is history.

So don't be frightened give the continent a try this summer you won't regret it.

I had a quick look at the prices - they don't seem too bad. I've just mentioned it to Aud and she pointed out that we don't have passports. I said I wasn't sure if you just needed ID (I got into Eire and back into the UK with my work pass) and then we have a circular discussion where Aud looks very worried about just using ID and we give up discussing it any further. We just don't seem to get around to getting any.

Thanks for taking the time to put this post up

      Hello you two,
      May I make a suggestion?
Both the C & CC and C.C do escorted tours to France where they organise everything and you travel in convoy to the campsite.
Its very good for people who have never done this before,or who need assistance. They usually do several tours each year, some go further than others.

Audrey! you are correct you do need passports, the goverment cancelled the official ID card which would have been the same as our european chums and so easy.

I think for peace of mind One escorted trip,or an organised trip with a sat nav, which they also do,where they do all the paperwork and bookings but you drive unescorted.
After the first time its easier.
      See you both at Morton!
