    Camping in Ireland

Has anyone travelled over to Ireland. When we get our Romahome - not long to go now - we are hoping to head off to stay with David's sister who lives down in County Cork. (He has another sister who lives in the north in Port Stewart). Would like to know if there is much in the way of caravan sites over there.

    Hi Bammy!

this site seems to have a good selection:

I've never been, but would love to tour there, so send us some reviews of any good campsites you come across. I think there are also already a few on here (on the main site) that others have come across on their travels.

      Hello Bammy,
Here's a link to an earlier thread:

We went over a couple of years ago and had a lovely time. The Beara penisula is beautiful, and not as busy as the Dingle peninsula (which is also beautiful). We also drove the ring of Kerry, which is fun. It's worth checking for this (and the Dingle) which way the coach trips go round, as roads are narrow and backing up repeatedly isn't too much fun (trust me!).

Have you looked at the Irish Camping Club resources?:
