    Outlook Drivers Seat

Being just over 6ft tall and sleeping on the drivers side of our 2007 Outlook (dont even think of asking why I have to sleep on that side),my feet seem to touch the back of the drivers seat even when it is moved as far forward as the adjustment will allow and with the backrest inclined as far forward as it will go. We also have a Berlingo car and I had reason to remove the drivers seat. On looking at the backrest adjustment I thought that a Berlingo car seat would be just the job but closer examination showed that the seat runners fit to the van in a different way and so back to the drawing board.

Very close examination of the Outlook seat showed that the frame was bent to provide a stop to prevent the backrest from going forward beyond a certain point. Judicious use of a hacksaw and file now mean that the seat back will incline forwards to touch the steering wheel and thus give ample room for me to sleep in comfort.
