    Seating question?

We are considering buying a romahome C20.
We went to a dealer recently and sat in the 'lo' c20. When sitting on the bench we both noticed that our heads were being pushed forward by the upholstered horizontal bar running accross the vehicle - quite uncomfortable though no doubt useful to put nicnaks in. My question is - is this the same in the C20 high and indeed is this bar essential or could it be removed. Has anyone else found this a problem when sitting in the van? What is anyone's opinion on the seating arangements
    Thanks
    Judy

    Seating question?

    Correction meant R20 not C20

      Goodmorning Judy,
I have an R20 outlook Hitop and have never had a problem with the long shelf units, while you could remove the covers there is a structural member behind it,which is why it has been turned into a handy storage shelf.

You are right-if you sit facing inwards on an R20Lo your head will probably bump against the pelmet over the side windows. This is because the factory reduced the height of these windows to ensure the vehicle stays under the magic 2m height when the roof is down.
In the R20Hi the height of the vehicle is not so crucial so although the windows are the same width as on the R20Lo they are also that much higher. The bar above them is therefore higher and your head is not restricted in its movement.
Quite a few customers order their new R20Lo with the pelmet removed on the offside allowing them to lounge in comfort. They still retain the pelmet on the nearside where the Pullman seat/table arrangement is located as typically you sit facing forwards so your head is not affected.
If you opt for the R20Lo the choice is between keeping the very useful storage space behind the pelmet or being able to move your head freely!
