Switching to LEDs in a Duo

    Hello everyone -
I'm sure there's been plenty of discussion on the forum regarding this but I did a search and can't seem to narrow it down. I would like to swap my eyeball spots and overhead lamp for LEDs - anyone done it? If so, any tips for sourcing and installing? Just bought a new Numax and fancy a bit of wilding over the long, impending winter.
    All the best,
    Jacquie

    LED eyeball replacemants

    Hi
    I have a 1999 Hylo and I used
    eBay item # 170877514094
    Amazon 2 x MR11 LED
    Fit with no cutting.
3.2mm pilot holes for securing screws.
I think they look much better and of course are much more effecient.
No heat from them on a hot night either
The job took less than 20 minutes..

I also fitted LED strip lights to the window pockets which are independently switched.
I fitted these to give some none directional light above the seating and so that me or the wife can read a book whilst the other can watch the TV without seeing the reflection of the eyeball in the TV screen.
    The job took 90 minutes.
    All cabling hidden.
Both modifications can be removed with little or no sign of previous fitting
    Cheers
    Steve

That looks the business Steve - thanks very much indeed! With the propex heater fan to run along with the lighting, I'm really looking at squeezing the watts down. Will order two of those spots and look into the strips -
      Cheers mate -

We replaced the bulbs in our spots with LEDs a while ago, it was very easy.

I replaced one of the strip lights in our Heki with LEDs and what a difference.

We bought our stuff from Aten Lighting - top price but good quality.

If you need more info just ask

          Thanks Peter,
I ordered new spot fixtures and bulbs suggested by Steve but will look at strips from Aten.
          Cheers,
          Jac
