    Diesel Heater BNIB

5Kw Diesel Heater complete kit - thermostat, trunking, pipes, pump and tank. This Chinese heater is a copy of an Eberspacher.
I was going to install it but then informed by a heating engineer 5Kw is far too big for a tiny pod - unless we wanted to be in a Sauna all the time.
So I have to cut my losses it cost me £165 I will sell for £120.00 ono including postage

The Eberspatcher that I had was 3 KW but its only on in short puffs as the thermostat cuts the heater but not the fan when the desired temperature is reached. They blast hot air to hit the target setting then no heat until the temperature drops when it cuts in again. It's all or nothing.3 KW was hot if you had you feet in the way of the blast but it would heat up the van in minutes.
5 KW is very hot,not sure that most of the plastics would take it.

Thanks Ian probably kills my chances of selling it on this forum, but reassures me going down to 2Kw is a good move! %Kw wil probably be OK in auto sleeper etc with wood not plastic furniture.

The chap that asked about heaters runs a Ducato, that would probably need a heater your size.

My van has the Webasto Airtop 2kW (Diesel) heater and it heats the VW Transporter from cold to too hot in about 10-15 mins, so it's very efficient. The guy that built the van warned me against directing the blower downwards towards the floor as he said it would affect the vinyl flooring!

As a guide from other threads n 800 watt oil heater is generally considered sufficient for a Romahome so 2kw ought to be plenty Although some van conversions may not be as well insulated.

When I had a Romahome C15, the oil radiator was definitely not enough in cold weather, I used a 2Kw fan heater. I don't think the R20s would be any better insulated.
