    BT email issues and the forum

    The hosting company has identified a problem with their servers and BT internet emails (not just with us here at the forum, but with anyone using their hosting/servers)

    It means that BT emails are being/ have been delayed - this will affect registration emails for new members and also notification emails, thread subscriptions etc. for members.

    So if you have recently joined us using BT email addresses and have not received your activation email (check your junk folder first though) please do contact us and we can manually activate your membership account.

    Just had an email from BT:

    Dear Customer,

    We are sorry that a number of BT Mail emails sent on Tuesday 19 April, between 1.09pm and 3.15pm, were not delivered. Due to a technical error, some emails were diverted to an internal test account, from where they have been deleted, and others bounced back.

    Please be reassured that nobody has accessed your emails. We recommend re-sending any emails sent between these times to make sure your messages are received. Once again, we apologise for having to put you to this trouble.

    Might shed a bit of light, I think it's sorted now.

      Thanks jay jay, it sounds like the fault was at BT but as they have deleted the 'lost' emails it means that new members won't have got their registration emails.

      We will have to see if we can send them again.
