    water problem

We have been up north and suffered some really bad wet weather. We have now got damp cushions and water stains on our curtain. The cushions near the small tear shape window were quite damp. Would it have been possible for the heavy rain and wind to force water in or does it sound like the rubber seal around the window needs changing? We were really shocked when we saw it. It is not getting in anywhere else so must have been the window.

    Hi Pendel.
The water on the "D" shaped windows need to be able to get away quickly from around the top of the window ( between the window and body of van). If there is a bit of green algae or moss in there the water gets trapped in heavy rain and will breach the seal. To clean and polish around the window you'll have to unscrew the catch inside and open the window out to 90 degrees. Put some vaseline on the window rubbers when you put it all back together.

Hi Pen! I hope Ant's advice does the trick - it's always worrying when you get water ingress. Good luck

Thanks for that Ant. Del will do that tomorrow. I must admit that the rain was very heavy and the wind was blowing so hard it may just have forced the water in. We have never had that problem before.
