    electrics problem

    Hi Ant

I have just completed a month-long trip in the van! Everything went well except for one little hiccup towards the end of the holiday, which maybe you can advise me on?

The 240 sockets decided not to work any which way I tried. Lights and pump worked fine, but not 'aux'. I checked the fuse on the switch board and it looked fine, and checked the trip switch under the seat and that was fine too.

Also, strangely, and I don't know if it's connected to the 240 prob, when I tried to use my inverter in the 12v socket to charge up my mobile and laptop that wouldn't work either

What do you think might be going on?

    TIA, GypsyMe

    Hi gypsyme.
The "Aux" switch controls the 12volt socket, if the fuse was ok I would suspect the socket has come apart inside and you're not getting a connection. With the 240v socket not working, if the switches are all up on the trip switches under the seat then I'd start looking at the mains lead connections or even just try it on another power source, it may have been a tripped site socket.
