Ant - thank you for your advice re this.

It has proven nigh on impossible finding a local motorhome servicer which would install or even touch gas so this is worth knowing. I've found a Gas Safe fitter, qualified for caravan and boat installations, who's visiting this evening to give a quote - we found just one other installer and he quoted 10 hours work at £55 + VAT per hour!!!!

    Hi Karen.
The fitting of the HS2000 is pretty straight forward, all the fitting used on the heater are provided in the kit. It would be a very good idea to have it inspected and tested by a gas fitter for both leaks and compliance to gas regs in a Motorhome. There is no need to go to the expense of having them fit it.

I've also been looking at fitting a Propex HS2000 in my Roo and obtaining quotes.

Just one query, does this need to be installed by a Gas Safe fitter?

    Tommy.
Providing the inlet and the exhaust pipes are lead outside and can exhaust away from any opening windows and underfloor vents you can fit the heater where ever you like. Also any gas connections must have a drop hole vent to clear any gas out that might leak.

    Hi Ant,
Thanks for reply,Hm,if its outside locker with door,I use that
I rather hoped to use rear inside, drivers side locker putting
unit at side of wheel arch then two holes in floor, Vents out
of locker side..Havnt looked underneath yet,if not the pipes
could possibly exit through bottom of cavity you mention to
rear of fridge mains switch..Do Roma have reason for outside,
would it be safe inside ,Your comments will be appreciated

    Hi Tommy.
The off side side locker is where Romahome put them. It will need its own gas supply with an isolation tap, you can tee off the main supply pipe behind the taps next to the fridge. When fitting it in the locker the two pipes ( exhaust and inlet) will need to be passed through the base of the locker and then through the floor of the body, there is about an 8 inch cavity. To miss everything as you do this the heater will need to be mounted to near to the left side and probably through the inner wall of the locker otherwise gas etc is hard to connect up.
    Good luck.
