    Roof cut out strong points

I have an R10 and would like to be able to sleep a second (lightweight) person occasionally. I am thinking of a temporary arrangement immediately above the existing bed which can be easily dismantled for travelling so that the roof folding arrangements are not compromised. Would the frame of the roof cut out be strong enough to take the weight? Your thoughts and experience would be much appreciated.

    Hi Bill.
The hole that Romahome cut out is strengthened by some GRP angle mouldings. These are enough to keep the roof sturdy when lowering the lid, but I doubt they would be enough to carry a person in bed! The steel of the roof is not very thick and once deformed it would very difficult to put right. I think you'll need some extra strength from somewhere.
