Earliest Duo plus

Hi Ant hope you don't mind me picking your knowledge about Romahome's once more.
I have come across a Romahome duo+ .
It seems too early as it was first registered on 19-09-1996.
I thought 1998 was the first production model.
Could it be a prototype or maybe a recab ?
Your opinion would be most apreciated have attached pics

Hi Peter.
The Duo "A12 Duo" was Romahomes ( then Island Plastics) production demo vehicle. The chassis may well have been registered in late '96 before work started on the body but the production vehicles came out in '97. It was a very high spec vehicle with hot&cold water/heating, unheard of in a Romahome in those days! The only change made in the later Duo's was the small upper window that was enlarged to make it easier to see out.
