Zadi M1 Rear door lock

Ant,

How do you remove the barrel of the Zadi M1 rear door lock.
I have searched the internet but other that a mention of a removal tool,which it seems impossible to buy,I could not find any information.
Is there a simple way to do this?

Hi Jim.
I use the red removal key, you just have the lock in the open position and insert the red key. The barrel then can be removed on the red key, sometimes you need to ease the mechanism with WD40 to get the key right in.
Without the tool you have to strip the lock and push the retaining peg on the barrel in order to turn and remove it.
