C15 Romahome rear inner sidewall tyre clearance

Hi I have the chance of a C15 Hi Lo motorhome

The clearance between the rear inner tyre sidewall and body is approx 120mm to 150mm ( ie I can just get my index finger in to my finger nail)

What is the ideal clearance please ???
I do not want to spend a lot of money ( £800 at Citroen ????) to renew bushesor whatever - I will appreciate a quick reply

    Kind Regards

    Hi Rod

Ant will be able to answer this question but he logs on when he is at work i.e. tomorrow morning around 8 ish.

Another C15 owner might be along sooner and be able to answer though.

    Good luck with the van.

Cost to replace bushes at my local Citroen dealer just over £300

I have a C15 and I had worn bushes that cost me a totol of £78 to fix by just replacing the axles with another from a newer van. consider that as an option but first I would rather Ant answer your question cos he comes across this problem all the time.

          Hi Rod.
The clearance gap is very small. If you can get your finger in the gap you've got quite thin fingers! It sounds ok to me, but drive it and drop the wheel into a pot hole, if you hear a loud clank it needs bushes soon.
          Thanks
          Ant
