    Romahome anti-roll bar knocking??

    Hi Ant,

just a second opinion here. If I reverse up a hill whilst slipping the clutch to limit slow speed there is sometimes a knocking sound from the front left corner. I have already replaced the track control arm and the steering arm out ball joint. However, my suspicion is the anti-roll bar bushes are worn or a combination of worn engine mount rubbers as well.

    Mines a 1899 F reg c15D with 93,535 miles.

    Always welcome your opinion.

    Hi Ecobezhig.
Rarely do the anti roll bar bushes give trouble, and if you've replaced the track control arm and the track rod ends then I suspect all you can hear is the disc pads chattering. They will often chatter when moving backwards at slow speeds, especially soon after they've been cleaned or changed. Try reversing a bit faster, if the noise goes away it will be the pads.

Ant, you are absolutely right it's the pads rattling. I,ll take them out clean and grease them.
Then I'll go and have a glass of Sangria and a chicken salad sandwhich to eat as a token of my appreciation to you.
