C15 Broken N/S Window Support Strut

Everything was going so well until I tried to close the side Window of my friends C15 Romahome.
Unbeknown to me she'd locked both struts.
I'm not usually the hamfisted sort but, there you go, i've snapped one of them.....!
Anyway, got straight onto Romahome for a replacement but apparantly they are no longer a serviced item.
So I need help. Has anybody got a solution PLEASE. - Pete

Pete need more info', there are 4 different types of window stay depending on age and window manufacturer.
