    Fuse Question

If a 7.5 amp mini fuse goes and you only have a 5amp and a 10amp fuse then which one should you use until you can get a 7.5 one.?

Never a good idea to uprate a fuse on a circuit which may be faulty.

If there is a 7.5Amp fuse elsewhere in the fusebox, transfer that and replace it with the 10Amp fuse until you can obtain a 7.5Amp to replace the 10Amp.

Safer than a larger fuse in a suspect circuit. Though fuses can fail because of the combination of age and the mechanical stress of warming and cooling as the circuit is used then switched off. There may in fact, be no problem with the circuit.
    Jim.
