C15 dash flash

Surely I do not have the only C15 Hylo with a blinking red light????

Yes I do have a blinking red light but no socket, it is an after market immobilizer warning light, it is operated by a special tag attached to the key ring and only flashes when the ignition is off and key out.

Let it flash as Ant says, anything to deter "them"

Hi Roger .
Your red light is whats left of and "after market" immobilizer, there would have been a plug to shove in the socket and once removed the light would have gone out and the engine able to start. I expect someone has bypassed it under the bonnet( normally cuts into the thin green wire going to the diesel pump) and lost the plug or lost the plug and then bypassed it!
Shove a bit of blue tack on the light when travelling rather than get it turned off as it does serve as a deterrent.

I have a red light blinking continuously at the top right-hand side of the instrument panel. There is what looks like a small socket underneath it. Does anyone know what it is for, and, if it is meant to be an anti-theft deterrent, how to stop it blinking when driving? Am I missing a plug for that purpose?

I have had tape over it for months, and have just rediscovered it
