    Hi

    Hello to all,

we have just bought our first motor home, a 21 year old Romahome HiLo that has been lovingly looked after. We're very pleased with it and hope to get lots of use out of it.

We know it will need a little TLC to keep it going but it looks like most of the major things have been done by it's previous owners.

We're located in Guisborough, Teeside, and we're going to give it's first outing in Saltburn tomorrow, rain or shine.
Hope to meet some of you on our travels.

        Hi Dave and Barbara
welcome to the forum ,we had a romahome for a couple of months earlier this year as a temporary replacement for our tabbert merc ,and we loved it to bits we did 3500 miles around england and france and regretted parting with it as soon as we let it go ,
presumably you know about the weaknesses of the citroen and as long as you do the regular things they are great campers ,ours did 500 miles on a tank of diesel and they go on the ferry as a car (under 8ft )
        enjoy your new friend

Enjoy your new van and perhaps meet up with you at one of the many gatherings next year.

            Thanks

            Thanks for the welcome.

Yes, we do know some of the little foybles of the Romahome, although I'm sure we'll find a few more.

We had a run out to Saltburn and made a cup of coffee. We did take some soup to make for lunch, but Barbara fancied the lovely fish & chips, so we had some in our new little home. Then we went off to the north York moors and found a nice little spot. It was starting to get a little cool and we had been told that it had a diesel heater built in and we managed to get it going and it was warm as toast.

Looking forward to many more days, and cosy nights.

            Dave & Barbara

              Hello Dave and Barbara,
You have the right attitude, small motor homes mean quick getaways for lots of short breaks and long ones.
this forum family is very friendly and we have meets and rallies you can come to.
              Look forward to meeting you

                    Absolutely, Vanderella!

Hi and welcome to this lovely site. A mine of information and lots of humour and friendship shown here as well.

Enjoy your new toy - and yes, I call our R20 a tardis as well Even after nearly 6 months of ownership, I still get a kick out of being able to throw in some bedding, a few clothes, basic food and water and then go off...for a day, a weekend, a week .... who knows how long I'll stay way next time?!

Maybe see you at one of the meets? Safe travelling.
                    Carpe diem! :)
