    Hello

Hi. My name is Andrea and I've just joined but have had a Citroen C15 Romahome for 18 months. She's fab and I have great fun in her. I'm looking forward to picking your brains on a few things, especially on installing a fridge.

You mean there was no fridge installed? or it doesn't work? I thought all C15s came with fridge installed- mostly 3 way (gas /12v/240v) but some only 2 way.
So do you have a fridge which doesn't work? or has your fridge been removed?

No. There was no fridge. When I bought her I didn't realise that they could have a fridge. She has everything else, loo, sink, cooker, grill, but no frige. She has the controls to turn the gas on and off and there is a plug over the vent in the cupboard floor but she was owned by the Red Cross and I don't suppose they had a need for a fridge.

Do need one though, the beer gets too warm

mm = red cross need to keep their medicines cold.

anyway - how about posting some photos of your rear end (no pornography please)
photos attached just what I have on pc now so not perfect

eg my fridge is located driver's side rear but gas switches are on the other side - ie on passenger side under fridge beneath the sink - - you can see handle in photo to access switches for cooker and fridge as well as access to a small cutlery compartment

so does any of that look like your C15? It would be a good start to know what happened to your fridge/fridge area

Thanks everyone. I'll load some photos as soon as I've worked out how to do it I store them on a cloud and now not sure how to get them back. Hmmm useful hey?

The photos you loaded are exactly as mine is, same colour, grill, hob, only I have a cupboard where your fridge is. Just don't think they ordered one. They doors are proper Romahome doors, so I know it's not been taken out.

Right off down the garage. Just had a table made so need to fit the socket. I'll take some new photos. Might be easier than finding them on the flipping cloud.

I might be wrong but I think the fridge may have been optional in the old days and if you say the cupboard doors look like Romahome ones then that would suggest as you say that the original owners didn't want a fridge but preferred the cupboard space.

Just out of interest our 1st C15 an F reg didn't have a fridge either. But we toured Scotland in it with one of those teeny fridges that only worked on ehu, but we managed.

I would guess a plug in (12v) cooler box would work well for most situations

You can get ones that you don't have to plug in, have a look at the icy tech coolers.

I had a fridge put in my caravan. It was around £80 for the fridge (second-user at that!) and a further £80/90+?? to have an engineer to install it. I'd just had it done when these icy tech coolers came out! They have a tray in the bottom that you fill with ice cubes, or ice packs, and last 5 days at a time. All reports say they are brilliant and work well.

It all depends on how long you want to go away for. You can get the ice from most big supermarkets if you're away for more that 5 days at a time, although that wouldn't be any use if you were miles from a supermarket!

It was just an alternative to a lot of expense and loss of cupboard space I thought I should mention!
